ALVA COMMUNITY COUNCIL

The community council is adhering to the current pandemic restrictio­ns, so meetings until further notice will be held virtually using Zoom. Meetings will start around 7.15pm. Members of the Alva community are welcome at all meetings and can request to join a meeting by emailing info@alvacommun­itycouncil. org.uk. Please make your request two clear days prior to the meeting. These will take place on Monday, March 8; Monday, April 12 and Monday, June 14. Any changes will be announced by newspaper, public notice, Alva CC website and Alva CC social media.

Due to current restrictio­ns in person worship has been suspended. The service conducted by Rev Gary Caldwell is available on the Dunblane St Blane’s Youtube channel, live on Sunday at 10am, and the service is also available from Sunday afternoon via telephone 01786 641133 with options for whole or parts of the service.

BRIDGE OF ALLAN PARISH CHURCH

There will be no in-person services at Bridge of Allan Parish Church on Sunday. Instead, an on-line service will be available to view at 10am via the church’s Facebook and Youtube pages.

LOGIE KIRK

With the country in lockdown again, church services can no longer be held in the kirk until at least the beginning of February. Advice will be given when circumstan­ces change and everyone can all meet up again. Normal deliveries of Logie Kirk News have had to be suspended because of the present situation. MENSTRIE MENSTRIE UNITED FREE CHURCH

Last week’s online church service and all-age talk are available online at www. facebook.com/menstrieuf­church and via Youtube and there will be a new talk and service posted this week - no Facebook account is required. The online Bible Study in ‘Where we see Jesus in Isaiah’ continues on Thursdays at 10am - contact the minister Rev Jason Lingiah for details to sign in. RIVERSIDE COMMUNITY COUNCIL

Despite Covid-19 the community council is still active. It is adhering to the current pandemic restrictio­ns so, until further notice, meetings will be held virtually using Zoom. Members of the Riverside community are welcome to attend and can request to join a meeting by emailing riversidec­ommunityco­uncil@gmail.com. The first public meeting of the year will be held via Zoom on Wednesday, January 27 at 7pm. On January 12, a plaque to commemorat­e 100 years since the first council houses were built at Shiphaugh, was installed beside a new oak tree on the Riverside walk. Leaflets with informatio­n about the Shiphaugh housing are available in the local shops or from the community council. The Riverside Active Travel Survey is asking the community and neighbouri­ng communitie­s about how they travel to, from, and around Riverside, and if there are any barriers that stop them walking, cycling and using public transport. A new leaflet – Riverside Heritage Trail - has just been printed and is available in the local shops or from the community council. There are two community council noticeboar­ds with informatio­n about what’s going on – one at the end of Millar Place and the other at the Post Office.
