I responded to the Stirling Council consultati­on for Spaces for People in Dunblane and am concerned that officers of the council plan to make orders under delegated powers to reduce the speed limit on the B8033 from Fourways to Marks and Spencer to 20mph. As a cyclist, pedestrian and motorist I believe that this is not neccessary or practical.

The road is the former A9 dual carriagewa­y and has ample opportunit­y to cross safely if required, is wide enough for cycles and cars to coexist safely. Indeed we cyclists face much more danger from carelessly
