Aunty does good at Bad Girls reunion

-

Eilidh’s aunt, actress Simone Lahbib, has been one of the driving forces of the charity.

With a loyal following of fans, she and Eilidh’s family have been touched by their support.

As one of British television’s most successful actresses, Simone’s career boasts everything from The Young Person’s Guide to Becoming a Rock Star, to a recent role in long-running BBC soap Eastenders.

But it is as her role as governor Helen Stewart in the prison drama Bad Girls which has probably afforded her cult status.

Despite no new episodes of the show having been filmed for several years, it still enjoys reruns.

And its popularity is such that the cast –including Simone – attend conventions where they meet the avid fans, raising funds for the charity in the process.

Simone is organising the Bad Girls Reunion 3 - a two day convention planned for September 10 and 11 at the Hilton London Elstree.

The reunion events feature cast members from the show and the first two events raised tens of thousands of pounds.

Plans for this year’s reunion include guest talks, photos and autograph sessions, an auction, parties and more.

Along with Simone - who played prison governess Helen Stewart for three seasons there will be: Mandana Jones - Nikki Wade; Debra Stephenson - Shell Dockley; Alicya Eyo - Denny Blood; Lindsey Fawcett - Shaz Wylie; Jack Ellis - Jim Fenner; Tracey Wilkinson - Di Barker; Pauline Campbell - Al Mckenzie; Victoria Bush - Tina O’Kane; Kim Oliver - Buki Lester; Luisa Bradshaw-White - Lorna Rose; and Nicole Faraday - Snowball Merriman.

Tickets for the event have been selling fast and it’s expected to be another amazing experience all in aid of the charity.
