Doune recovered from the loss of an early goal to draw level before the break, before sealing an emphatic derby win with a strong second half performance.
Milton took a 1-0 lead after six minutes. The ball fell kindly to Hendrie who advanced on Callum Davison before slotting home with a clinical finish from just inside the area.
A rattled Castle almost conceded a second within seconds. They were relieved to see a Milton forward pull his shot wide of the far post from a great position.
Doune equalised after 15 minutes. Niall McClure split the Milton defence with a wonderfully disguised diagonal pass to Christopher Macdonald. Macdonald jinked inside and curled the ball wide of the keeper and into the far corner of the net from 16 yards to level.
Callum Davison made an excellent save from Hendrie on 20 minutes, the Castle keeper collecting the striker’s fierce drive from 25 yards.
Just before the break, Davison saved again, diving to his right to push an effort around the post.
The score was level at the break but Doune edged into the lead after 55 minutes.

Doune gave themselves breathing space with a third goal after 83 minutes that owed everything to the strength and perseverance of Alan Inglis. He challenged one defender to a high ball then used his strength to shrug off another challenge to find himself clear on goal. Inglis then drove the ball into the far corner of the net for 3-1.
Callum Davison then pulled off a brilliant save after 88 minutes. The Castle keeper reacted superbly to block a shot from outside the area that he saw late after it flew through a crowded area.
As Doune looked to run down the clock, Lukasz Duszynski drove into the box and was upended as he prepared to shoot and a penalty was awarded.
Inglis stepped up to fire home from the spot for 4-1.
