Campus training restaurant opens

Forth Valley College’s Stirling Campus Gallery Training Restaurant is emerging from lockdown restrictions and has started taking reservations for lunch and dinner bookings.

There are still only limited spaces available until after the October break when it will return to a near-normal service, but reservations can now be made.

The Gallery - based on the first floor of the £29 million campus – is hoping people will be attracted back after the pandemic to taste cuisine created by the top Scottish chefs of tomorrow.

Craig Anderson, FVC’s hospitality business development manager, said:

“As well as preparing quality dishes for its customers, The Gallery’s main priority is to prepare the next generation of chefs and front-of-house staff for professional life, by demanding high standards in a real-life setting and helping them towards a range of high standard professional qualifications, so our students are very excited at the prospect of serving up their best dishes, now that restrictions are easing.”

The Gallery is based at FVC’s Stirling Campus on Drip Road and reservations for lunch (between 12-1pm – last reservation slot 1pm) and dinner (between 5-6pm – last reservation slot 6pm) each weekday can be made by visiting https:// www.resdiary.com/restaurant/ thegalleryrestaurantforthvalleycollege.

The restaurant is open on Tuesday and Thursday evenings only for dinner service closes at 8.45pm.

It is hoped that after the October break last reservations will be extended to 1.30pm for lunches and 6.30pm for dinners.
