Elaine does it in style to help Ukrainians
A Stirling businesswoman is hoping to raise funds for Ukraine at an event next month.
Personal shopper and image consultant Elaine Machray is holding her first studio event since the start of the pandemic on Friday May 13.
But she is combining it with fundraising for the Red Cross after being horrified by the situation in Ukraine.
“I am delighted to announce my first In Studio Style Event in two years, since before the pandemic.
“But it’s been unbearable to hear about the events and war in Ukraine so I thought I would combine some fun with clothes and colour here in my Stirling Studio with a fundraiser for the Red Cross.
“I am going to auction off the remainder of my French Captain Tortue collection so this will be great fun.
“As well as getting a fantastic bargain from this exclusive designer range, however, you will be helping those most in need.”
Elaine’s business, The Re-invention Room, is a personal shopping and image consultancy with over a decade’s experience helping women find their personal style so they look and feel great in their clothes. Based in Stirling,
Elaine also travels to meet with clients in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Newcastle.
Elaine also runs‘swish Nights’and will be running a‘mini Swish’on at the event.
She explained:“i’ll be having a‘swish and Swap’. That means you can bring up to five items of clothing or accessories (new or nearly new) and swap them for something else.
“It’s a great way of being sustainable and recyling your clothes and shoes and I will be on hand to give my expert Style and Colour advice. I will also be giving a short Style and Colour presentation too.”
Tickets for the event are £10 including drinks and refreshments. There will also be a raffle.
