Few rays of sunshine but wet spell continues

-

It was a rather unsettled past week in Stirling which resulted in our wettest week since the middle of January with some wintry weather at times with snow in the middle part of last week.

Wet weather was recorded on every day and with low temperatures at times snow briefly affected the area before melting in a week where the temperature fluctuated to a high of 14.1C and a low of -4.3C.

If it was sunshine you wanted last week, it wasn’t a good week for that. Unfortunately the weather will remain mostly unsettled this coming week with more wet weather expected throughout the week.

Sunshine during the week will once again be sparse with any brief sunny spells coming in-between the rain.

Hopefully over the weekend some longer spells of sunshine will develop but the threat of rain showers will remain.

Daytime temperatures will be between 7C to 10C and overnight lows should remain above freezing for most of the week but towards the end of the weekend could drop close to freezing again.

It will be breezy at times with the wind increasing for a time midweek.

Did You Know? – The clocks go forward in the early hours of this coming Sunday morning which means by the end of this week sunrise will be later again from around 6am back to 7am but sunset will be later from around 6.45pm to 7.45pm with daylight continuing to increase in length.
