Area’s rich local larder to be put in spotlight

Forth Valley Food and Drink has teamed up with STEP to host a local producers’‘tasting tables’showcase this spring.

The event, which takes place on Wednesday, March 27, at Stirling Enterprise Park, will spotlight the region’s rich local larder, fostering new connection­s between local producers and industry profession­als.

Stacey Spence, co-ordinator of Forth Valley Food and Drink, said: “We’re providing a platform for our members to showcase their passion and dedication to producing high-quality food and drink products.

“The event is tailor-made for industry profession­als, whether you’re a chef, buyer, stockist or wholesaler looking to enhance your product lineup with locally sourced food and drink.”

Among the local producers to be featured at the event are Grace Chocolates, Stacey’s Designer Cakes, Collymoon Craft Gin, Golden Bottom Bakery, Foragers Foods, Upper Ballaird Farm Co-op, Ochil Fudge, Farrah’s Dairy Ltd, io Fibrewater and Stirling Coffee.

Forth Valley’s newest gin producer Nicola Finney, of Collymoon Craft, is looking forward sharing her award-winning blends with a wider audience. She said:“each sip of our gin is a testament to our passion for creating extraordin­ary spirits, and we can’t wait to share our family’s dedication to craftsmans­hip with local retailers, restaurant­s and hotels.”
