Walters’ classy double victory

IAN Walters showed his class in the Stockport Individual Premier League, when he fired home superb darts of 14, 16, 19, 18 and 17 to take out Mark Daniels 5-1. The Hyde hot shot moved on to complete his night’s work with a 5-0 win against Jake Murphy.

Paul Taylor enjoyed a 5-1 success over Jo Dean in his opening game, the Stockport sharp shooter continued on his winning run with shots of 20, 18, 18, 21 and 18 to edge out Alan Wilkinson (15, 19, 17).

League Champion Steve Atkinson (28, 14, 16, 15 and 11) won his first outing in five straight legs over Jackie Wilkinson before tremendous darts of 15, 15, 18, 17 and 18 gave him a 5-1 victory against Stinger Wray.

Tom Booth (18, 19, 20 and 21) shared the points with Dave Beckett (24, 19, 20 and 21) in his first game, he then reached his doubles in 18, 22, 24, 22 and 18 to beat Jackie Wilkinson 5-1.

John Traynor turned on the magic to win both his games, the St Helens star checked out in 22, 17, 20, 14 and 17 darts to record a 5-1 result over Derek Higgins in his opening game, he then fired home top class darts of 22, 17, 20, 14 and 17 to win in five straight legs against Steve Rogers, who drew his final game (20, 22, 20 and 23) with John Hyman (19, 29, 15 and 15).

Steve Gallimore (18, 20, 21, 23 and 24) opened his night’s darting by winning 5-1 over Jake Murphy, he then passed the winning post with checkouts of 17, 16, 16, 20 and 22 to win his last game 5-1 against Andy Smith, who won his final game with top darts of 17, 17, 16, 20 and 22 and three 180 maximums with Alan Wilkinson (16, 21).

Dave Adshead (14, 19, 17 and 23) shared the spoils with Stinger Wray, before moving on with finishing darts of 16, 18, 19, 24 and 19 to overcome Terry Harrison 5-1.

Once again the improving Mark Daniels (17, 17, 19, 28 and 22) won his final game 5-2 with Derek Higgins 5-2.

In the Stockport Super League, champions Armoury B outgunned Klondyke club 6-1, Colin Mills (18, 19) Mark Cairney (19, 18) Paul Taylor (17, 20) and Daz Fitton (17, 22) were their marksmen.

Armoury A with the help of Ian Walters (22, 18) Steve Gallimore (21, 23) Steve Rogers (24, 22) and Paul Holland (19, 28) demolished Thatched Tavern 7-0.

Queens B sent Grange Club A home with a 5-2 defeat, Chris Proctor (17, 19) John Brown (15, 20) Stinger Wray (24, 22) and Tony Sanchez (20, 27) were their main winners.

Grapes Hazel Grove crushed Friendship 6-1 in the Premier division, Ryan Slate (16, 27) John Windsor (16, 27) and Kevin Sherlock (22, 29) were all in fine form.
