PURE 107.8FM

- PAUL HOLLOWAY

TIME is running out for teenagers in Stockport to sign up to Pure 107.8FM’s Free Digital Skills Training as Presenter Paul Holloway explains:

There is less than a week to go for 16-18-yearolds to get their place on our completely free summer course based here at Stockport’s radio station.

We have teamed up with specialist digital training providers The White Room to create a unique six-week course which starts on Monday, August 1.

You need to be aged 16-18 on the date the course starts and not in education or training during the six-week period, with no Level 3 (or above) qualification.

So if you are on your summer break from college or still waiting for your A-level results, you can still apply for the course.

The course will give any young person with the ambition of working in the media the chance to get an edge in this extremely competitive industry.

Each week the team will make their own mock radio show to improve their skills.

We’ll also be challenging you to make a report on something you are interested in, that’s happening in Stockport. If it’s good enough we’ll broadcast it.

As well as a qualification to put on your CV, you’ll get real hands on experience of working at a radio station.

To find out more about the course see Pure 107.8FM’s Facebook or Twitter or register your interest, email faye@ thewhiteroom.co
