Adshead in for a 5-1 Premier League brace

DAVE Adshead fired home superb darts of 17, 16, 17, 12 and 17 to take out Paul Holland 5-1 in the Stockport Individual Premier League. He then moved on to his second 5-1 win of the night against Mick Cosgrove.

Stinger Wray launched an attack on the treble twenty with shots of 20, 18, 17, 18 and 22 to win in five straight legs over Terry Harrison in his first game, before reaching his doubles in 15, 23, 23, 16 and 18 to beat Buck Rogerson (16, 20).

Dave Beckett (17, 23, 17, 17, 17 and 21) turned on the style in his opening game with a 5-2 win against John Traynor, he continued on his winning way with finishing shots of 19, 21, 20, 23 and 22 to record a 5-2 success over John Hyman. Steve Gallimore opened his account with quality darts of 23, 14, 24, 17 and 14 to send Terry Harrison to his second 5-0 defeat of the night, before hitting his doubles in 13, 17, 15, 21 and 20 in a straight five leg victory against Mick Cosgrove.

Champions Armoury B cruised home 5-2 over Star and Garter A in the Stockport Super League, Paul Taylor (14, 18) led the attack followed by Mark Cairney (18, 19) Mark McGeeney (21, 17) Danny Kay (22, 19) and Colin Mills (20, 26) , leaving Steve Pritchard (21, 24) and Steve Atkinson (25, 20) to reply for the away team.

Runners up Armoury A demolished Klondyke Club 7-0, Ian Walters (18, 17) Matt Phillips (16, 21) Steve Gallimore (18, 24) Kevin Weir (26, 18) and Simon Hardman (22, 25) were their star players.

Union B helped by Darren Edgerton (18, 20) and Paul Wrigley (22, 29) enjoyed a 5-2 victory over Grange Club A, who replied through Aaron Lee (18, 19) and Dion Salt (22, 25).

Queens B were in top form when they were 6-1 victors against Nursery Chris Proctor (14, 15) Stinger Wray (18, 19) Bob Blakeley (18, 20) and John Brown (21, 20) were their marksmen.

Victoria won by the odd game 4-3 over Jolly Crofter in Premier Division, Martin Love (20, 17) and Mark Pownall (24, 29) were their main winners.

In the Bredbury Licensed Houses League Navigation were 5-2 winners at Greyhound, Robbie Sherlock (21, 20) Fran Tracey (24, 28 and Colin Davies (28, 25) for the Navigation.
