Coop talking launch designed with fans
I HAVE said much via this column about the number, and excellence, of the events organised and promoted by the Supporters Cooperative Events Team.
One thing that people may not be aware of however is the fact that every event we organise , if there is a fund raising element attached to it, those funds will be used in support of the Guardian Account which is well past £20000 as this article goes out.
With the upcoming Hatters Half just a few short weeks away the GA is due for a substantial boost!
Being set up as a means of raising a significant, collectively owned, sum to invest in the club, or acquire a stake therein, the GA could prove crucial in providing County Supporters with a voice and input if/when Edgeley Park future ownership becomes an issue again.
In this respect the actions of the Supporters Cooperative in securing Asset of Community Value for Edgeley Park has proved a massively good move and the GA , if it continues to grow as we anticipate it will, is well worthy of support if supporters want a voice when push comes to pull eventually over the stadiums future.
We have been acutely aware of the need to impart as much information as possible, about the Guardian Account, to supporters of the club, thus the board of the Cooperative launched a fresh initiative entitled ‘Coop Talking.’
This was to be an occasional podcast type event involving Coop Board members informally discussing issues of interest.
