Fun fundraiser aims for thousands

-

A COMEDY afternoon for men is hoping to raise thousands of pounds for Beechwood Cancer Care Centre.

The Man @ Manchester event has run for two successful years and is back for a third year running at The Palace Hotel, Manchester on Friday, November 25, from 12 noon to 4pm with three top comedians performing.

On the bill are Ted Robins, Gary Marshall and MC Colin Manford – plus special guests.

The day, which is sponsored by Brown Shipley Private Banking and Pareto, includes a three course meal, auction, a raffle and gift stalls – to take away the stress of battling the Christmas rush on Black Friday.

The first Man@ Manchester event raised more than £30,000 and last year that was doubled to £60,000 – making it the most successful charity event to date.

Angela Gray, fundraising manager at the Stockport charity on Chelford Grove, said: “The past two years have been fantastic events and the amount of money raised is absolutely phenomenal. It was great to see so much generosity, the Christmas spirit was really alive and we hope that this will be repeated this year.”

A table of 10 for the Man @ Manchester event costs £650 with limited premium tables from £1,000.
