Magnificent support
It was a joy last week to attend the charter evening of Cheadle and District Rotary club whom last year adopted the Wellspring as their President’s Charity.
As well as receiving a cheque for £1,700 we have had magnificent support thought the last 12 months with practical donations of clothing, books and food.
All these items have been very welcome at the Wellspring. We would like to thank Cheadle Rotary Club for their support.
It was very touching to receive a visit from a young man called Oliver whom on his sixth birthday decided that he wanted to donate his birthday cake to homeless people.
It is so inspiring and motivating to receive support like this from our community.
As the nights begin to close in and get colder we are already planning our services for the winter months.
On Sunday, December 4 the Wellspring will again host the Rucksack Project.
the donations of warm clothing, rucksacks and sleeping bags that we receive during the Rucksack Project last us for around 12 months.
So please consider donating a rucksack and sleeping bag to the Wellspring so we can ensure that anyone sleeping rough on our streets over the next 12 months has at least some comfort.

this winter we will be expanding our Outreach service at night, aiming to give a better service to anyone who is sleeping rough on our streets.
We often ask the public via our popular Facebook page to let us know if they see anyone sleeping rough or homeless in Stockport.
