Here every day of the year for the homeless

-

WELLSPRING is very proud to be the only homeless service in Stockport that is physically open 365 days a year.

At this time of year as the nights draw in and the weather turns cold, our thoughts are very much with those who have no option but to sleep rough on our streets.

We welcome these people to The Wellspring and provide lots of services in order to change people’s situations and circumstances for the better.

This year we have launched a Christmas Dinner campaign. We encourage people to donate £5 to The Wellspring. Every donation of £5 will ensure that someone sleeping rough will get a full Christmas dinner and a gift on Christmas day.

Donations can be dropped off at The Wellspring, made online via our website thewellspring.co.uk or sent by a simple text message: Please text XMSD16£5 to 70070 to for around 12 months. So please consider donating a rucksack and sleeping bag to The Wellspring so we can ensure that anyone sleeping rough on our streets over the next 12 months has at least some comfort.

More information about The Rucksack Project can be found on the website. On our website you will also find lots of information about The Wellspring and the many services we provide, including lots of videos about the project.

This winter we will be expanding our outreach service at night, aiming to give a better service to anyone who is sleeping rough on our streets.

We often ask the public via our popular Facebook page to let us know if they see anyone sleeping rough or homeless in Stockport.

So if you know the location of anyone sleeping rough on our streets please report this to The Wellspring on 477 6344, e-mail jonathan@ thewellspring.co.uk or use the contact form on thewellspring.co.uk.
