Arc is going dark for a spooky Halloween event
THE award winning arts and wellbeing centre Arc Centre and Gallery in Reddish is holding a children’s Halloween event.
The event, called ‘Arc in the Dark’ takes place on Saturday, October 29.
Organisers will create a dark room in the newly opened Studio 2, which has been kitted out with a puppet theatre and an overhead projector for shadow puppet storytelling, as well as shadow puppet making. Cameras will be installed to enable visitors to try stop-motion animation.
Families are being invited to come along and take part in the creepy community animation
There will be refreshments available in the gallery, and visitors are welcome to bring their own packed lunch.
All ages are welcome at the monthly Arc Family Art Club, which always takes place from 11am to 4pm on the last Saturday of every month.
The charitable organisation is asking for a £2.50 donation per child for the event. All of the proceeds raised will go towards Arc’s fundraising, which aims to improve the mental health and wellbeing of adults and children through art-based programmes.
The centre’s current exhibition Rod Kippen: Urban Landscape Photography is also on display in the gallery.
