Local family firm celebrates hitting 25 year milestone in competitive industry

Now 25 years later it is celebrating a quarter of a century of success and happy customers.

BEGINNINGS

Alexander Windows started its long and storied life on Bulkeley Road in Cheadle with husband and wife team Steve and Gaenor Wood.

There it found quick success and soon found itself too big for the premises, forcing a move to expand the business.

Alexander Windows moved to Newby Road in Hazel Grove where they still remain after 15 long and happy years.

Reflecting on his company’s milestone Steve Wood, Founder & Managing Director says, “It is hard to believe that 25 years have passed since we opened our doors with a small team and one van.

“We are very fortunate to have very loyal customers who come back to us and recommend us to their friends, and for that we are very grateful.

“We are looking forward to improving homes around Manchester and Cheshire for many years to come.”

FAMILY BUSINESS

Alexander Windows was named after the founders’ son, Alexander, who was a young baby when the business first started.

He is now 26 years old and is learning about the family business first hand.

He hopes to carry on his parents’ legacy and continue improving homes across Manchester for another 25 years.
