Girl’s ear is torn by thug’s kick

ATHUG is facing jail after mutilating his ex-girlfriend in a horrific attack.

James William Parr, 29, kicked Tara Turner in the head with such force it tore her ear.

She needed eight stitches to sew the ear back onto her head, the court heard.

At Stockport magistrate­s’ court Parr, of Lynwood Road, Parrs Wood, Manchester, admitted assault occasionin­g grievous bodily harm and criminal damage.

Robin Lynch, prosecutin­g, said: “This is a domestic violence case. The victim had been in a relationsh­ip for some time previous. There is also a history of violence against her.

“He has turned up at her address in Stockport on October 27 and the pair had a drink together.

“An argument started when she received a text message from another male.

“She described him as losing it and attacking her.

“She recalls him kicking her to the head and at some point lost consciousn­ess.

“She comes around and manages to make a Facetime call to her mother to ask for help.

“The police are called and her step-father goes to the house. When he arrives Parr is already gone.”

The court heard that the victim was taken to hospital.

Mr Lynch said: “She suffered injuries including a ripped ear, which needed eight stitches to sew back on.”

During the same incident Parr caused £250 worth of damage to a Toyota Vitz.

Toby Wilbraham, defending Parr, said: “When he was arrested he had blood all over his tracksuit bottoms and admitted the assault.”

Parr was remanded in custody to appear at Minshull Street Crown Court on November 25 for the sentencing.
