Fashion show in memory of Anja

-

AMARPLE woman is raising money for a charity that supports young people with cancer after losing her younger sister.

Laura Ferguson has organised a fashion show in memory of her sister Anja Barnacott who lost her battle with Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2009, aged 19.

Tickets to the event, which takes place on Friday (November 18) at Fairfield High School in Droylsden, are now on sale.

All proceeds will go to CLIC Sargent, a charity which supports children and young people living with cancer.

Laura said: “Anja had a real love of fashion so this is the perfect way to celebrate her life, while raising vital funds to help an amazing charity.

“CLIC Sargent were a fantastic source of support to both Anja and our family, and we want to make sure they can continue their work to provide crucial support to young people who have been diagnosed with cancer.

“It’s going to be a great night to raise money for a brilliant charity and remember a beautiful young woman.”

The event is being supported by Lucy Cobb Fashion Boutique who will be showcasing their latest collection.

The fashion show is the latest fundraiser organised by Laura and the team at Anja’s Fund, which has already raised over £10,000 with money going to a range of different charities who supported Anja and her family.

Tickets to the event are £6 and include a welcome drink. For tickets or information on the event, email anjasfund@gmail.com. Tickets can be collected on the door. Alternatively, go to facebook.com/anjasfund.
