Scheme gave us a vital leg up on the property ladder
A HAZEL Grove couple have praised a government-backed scheme which has helped them turn their home-buying dreams into a reality.
First-time buyers Paige Summersgill and Edward Booth are among those to benefit from the Help to Buy scheme which has allowed them to get their foot on the property ladder with a much smaller deposit than anticipated.
Paige and Edward recently moved into a four-bedroom property at Taylor Wimpey Manchester’s The Heath based at its Hampton Wood development in Hazel Grove.
They have praised the scheme which has allowed them to move into their dream home in just a matter of months.
Paige said: “We used the Help to Buy scheme which was absolutely brilliant.
“With a baby on the way, we wanted to find that perfect house for us to start our family, but without the scheme, we wouldn’t have been able to afford such a highquality and spacious home in such a short time frame.
“After months of searching without much luck, we stumbled across the Taylor Wimpey show home, as if by fate, and ended the week with a deposit down and our dream property secured.”
The Help to Buy scheme enables eligible buyers to progress on to the property ladder with just a five per cent deposit.
Paige added: “We still can’t believe our luck. Taylor Wimpey has gone above and beyond for us and made the whole process so simple from start to finish.”
Chloe Dunn, sales and marketing director at Taylor Wimpey Manchester, said: “It’s great to be able to show so many customers they can afford far more than they realised through schemes like Help to Buy.”
