Gannon taking positives from loss
STOCKPORT County manager Jim Gannon believes losing matches can sometimes help to build his team into a better side.
The Hatters boss added to his squad this week after signing Kaine Felix on loan from York City, with Gannon also revealing that extra funds are available if he chooses to improve the squad even more.
He is keen to try and keep using his current players though, as he wants them to be moulded into a better side by overcoming any obstacles put in their way.
“I want to give our

players every opportunity and every chance in the team. I want them to experience having disappointments when they’ve failed,” Gannon told the club’s official website.
“From that we can learn how to grow as a team, so that can help me get the best out of my players.
“If when they are at their best then there is still better quality out there, then looking to recruit is the next stage.
“We’re having a review at the moment of the whole structure of how we train and prepare for games, and what we need to do is keep working really hard to be sufficient as a part time side.
“It’s challenging but we need to keep doing the right things and that’s the target for our players now all the way until next season.
“If we feel that some of them aren’t quite right for that then we can potentially bring somebody in to give us a lift.”
