Have your say on the plans for region’s housing future
MARPLE Area Committee will meet to discuss the recently announced Greater Manchester Spatial Framework (GMSF) proposals which are currently out for the first stage of public consultation.
The meeting will take place on Wednesday November 30 at 6pm at High Lane Village Hall, off Windlehurst Road.
Caroline Simpson, Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration, and Richard Wood, Technical Policy and Planning Manager, will attend the meeting to provide a presentation on the proposals and will be on hand to answer questions from residents.
The GMSF proposes to allocate land in High Lane for the development of up to 4,000 homes.
A spokesman for the event said: “For those who are unable to attend the meeting at High Lane Village Hall, the GMSF will also be discussed at the scheduled Marple Area Committee meeting on Wednesday December 14 at 6pm.
“This will take place at Marple Senior Citizen’s Hall, Marple Memorial Park.
“Residents are also encouraged to have their say on the proposals via the consultation portal.”
