Supporters voices heard on the airwaves
I HAVE, unfortunately, not been able to attend the last three County games, a rare and unwelcome set of circumstances from my viewpoint.
Fortunately however, on each occasion, I have been able to tune in to Pure FM, and listen to the excellent commentary provided by Jon Keighren via the Stockport broadcaster.
Jon is a terrific commentator but is not averse to assistance along the way, and in this respect, thanks to welcome sponsorship from Sapphire Accounting, he gets it.
The sponsor provides Co-Commentators for a large portion of County’s season, but they have generously allowed the Supporters Cooperative to continue providing cover on a decent number of occasions throughout the season. This continues the service we have offered to our members for a number of years now, and we are delighted to keep the tradition going, whilst at the same time giving members of the Supporters Cooperative an insight into the media world, and a rather neat experience to boot, with matches at home and away offered!
At Brackley last week, County historian, and staunch Supporters Cooperative member Marcus Heap took to the microphone, and did a terrific job, and Cooperative chair Peter Towey is earmarked for an appearance later this season, but mainly it is rank and file members who fill the commentating spots, and we know from the feedback from them that the experience is enjoyed by all.
