For contributing to club’s recovery

playing squad. But an improved playing squad doesn’t help address the issue of County not benefiting from owning tangible assets.

This, therefore, inspires the simple aim of the Supporters’ Co-operative Guardian Account: we want to secure a sustainable future for Stockport County and we feel the way to achieve this is to build up a significant collectivelyowned lump sum to invest in the club, in genuine, equal partnership with other like-minded investors. It can, and will, make a majo difference, acquiring a stake for supporters in the club and securing assets for the benefit of the club.

In this respect the Supporters Cooperative initiated the Guardian Account, which has now gone beyond £31,000, and we have placed it in the forefront of our thoughts and actions in recent years, and discussions with the Club regarding same are expected to take place in the upcoming Supporters Cooperative/ Stockport County Board meeting.

With James Gannon running the show on the park, we are in safe hands, but we are determined to weigh in and give what support we can.

The supporters can and do play a vital role in all this and the Guardian Account is a potent tool to have at our disposal.

You can contribute to the Guardian Account on match days by either buying or donating County shirts, scarves, hats etc at the Cheadle End Car Park, between 1.30 and 2.30pm.
