Supporters Co-operative Events Team are

WITH the Supporters Cooperative re-doubling their efforts in support of the Guardian Account, and having enlisted the help of additional help and expertise to ease the burden along the way, it was good that I was able to catch up with events prime movers Dave Marchbank and John Giles at the weekend.

The duo were effusive in their delight at recent happenings.

The Events Team have again secured the agreement of CAMRA to the staging of a ‘County Night’ at the 2017 Stockport Beer & Cider Festival which will again go ahead at Edgeley Park in June.

The Supporters Cooperative will once more host the evening, and Dave enthused about ideas aimed at attracting supporters to the Thursday night.

A Shirt Exhibition is a possibility, as is a link up to the upcoming ‘County Museum’, but these remain early thoughts and no more and Dave stressed that he would welcome ideas for the Thursday night from County supporters, who should direct same to dave.marchbank@gmail. com.

Giles meanwhile is well on with the Stockport Hatters Half Marathon, a race he pioneered two years ago, and which this year is on Sunday 3rd
