Hold fundraiser for Chris’ family
The anticipated meeting between the respective boards of Stockport County and the Stockport County Supporters Cooperative, has had to be re-scheduled.
This will now take place tomorrow (2 March 2017) and a full report will be included in this column in next week’s publication.
I am reliably informed that crack quizzers ‘Coop Elite’ fancy their chances of making a comeback, following their third placing behind winners ‘Norfolk & Chance’ and the oddly named ‘Ken Dodd’s Dad’s Dead Dog’, last time out, when the County Quiz went on tour to the New Mills FC Social Club. This time, on Saturday 11 March 2017, the County Quiz returns to the popular Stockport bar ‘The Spinning Top’ near the Garrick Theatre, and organiser John Giles tells me that teams are gagging to see that last times ‘top three’ have competition on the 11th.
It all starts at 17.30 after County’s game with Curzon Ashton, and entries ( teams or individuals) cost £20 per 5 person team or £4 per person, and should by sent to johngiles20@ hotmail.com
Finally, do not forget that members of the Supporters Cooperative board will be present in the Cheadle End Car Park Cabin pre-match on 4th and 11th March from 1.30 until 2.30, to answer your questions, take membership sign up’s and renewals, and sell or receive donated items (County shirts, scarves , shoes, hats) in support of the Guardian Account.
