You may recognise him from his role in the BBC3 comedy Ideal, where he played DJ Troy, Moz’s crazy, vinyl obsessed brother.

Also performing are Malaysian comic Nigel Ng, promising newcomer Harry Stachini and regular MC Danny Sutcliffe.

Tickets are £7 in advance from Seven Miles Out or online at www.stockportcomedy.co.uk

On Saturday night we are delighted to welcome two great Stockport bands for a special evening of music helping to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

We are teaming up with Peter Wadsworth, the historian who has been responsible for the resurgence of interest in Strawberry Studios. He will be doing two themed talks throughout the afternoon - ‘The Story of Strawberry Studios’ at 1pm and ‘10cc and Strawberry Studios’ at 3pm.

We will also be joined by the founder of Strawberry Studios Peter Tattersall who will be in conversation with Peter Wadsworth.

NK THEATRE ARTS

JUST two weeks to go until our major show Made In Dagenham hits Stockport. Inspired by a true story and based on the hit movie, Made in Dagenham is the uplifting new West End musical comedy about friendship, love and the importance of fighting for what is right.

Essex 1968. Like millions of other working women, each morning Rita O’Grady is just trying to get her husband out of bed, get the kids off to school and get to work at the factory on time. But life is about to change forever when it’s announced that the girls in the stitching room of Ford’s Dagenham car plant will have their pay grade dropped to ‘unskilled’. Quickly drawing on a strength she never knew she had, Rita leads her friends in a battle against the might of Ford and the corruption of the Union supposed to protect them. As the girls’ inspiring journey gets bigger than anyone could have imagined, the pressure is too much for some, but can Rita keep up the fight and the happy home she’s worked so hard for? Funny, touching and timeless, Made in Dagenham shows how ordinary people can do extraordinary things when they stand together.

Tickets for the show, which takes place from March 30 to April 1, can be bought by visiting www.theforumtheatre.co.uk or by calling the ticket line on 0333 666 3366. Darren Stannage
