Residents cruise on dry land

-

SUNRISE of Bramhall welcomed residents, friends and neighbours to its Mediterranean Cruise Ship Opera event, as staff and residents celebrated the Taste of Sunrise campaign.

Everyone reminisced the golden age of the transatlantic cruise ship, with classical artist Jenny Williams performing fresh from her latest cruise.

Guests were treated to a selection of Mediterranean food – from tantalising appetisers to exotic desserts, freshly prepared and presented by the community’s chefs.

Everyone dressed for the occasion and enjoyed an elegant afternoon of music, fine food and comradeship.

Taste of Sunrise is an annual campaign that highlights the importance of nutritious food for older people.

Dawn Williams, director of community relations at Sunrise of Bramhall, said: “We all had a wonderful time. Our event was a great opportunity to celebrate Taste of Sunrise and a chance to educate people about the need for a nutritious diet as you grow older.

“We want to thank our dining team who work hard every day to ensure every single resident receives exceptional food which meets their individual needs and that our residents enjoy the highest quality of care. We are so proud of them.

“Dining for a lot of our residents is the focal part of the day and it is important that what they are served gives them something to look forward to.”
