Community award for friends of station
THE Friends of Reddish South Station have been awarded the Association of Community Rail Partnerships Community Award at the Cheshire Best Kept Station Awards (CBKS).
On April 9, CBKS committee member Stephen Forde presented the award on the station platform.
Members of the Friends were there to make the station look in prime condition, in preparation for the annual Good Friday Breakfast Special Folk Train, which goes to Stalybridge Station.
The station buffet bar opened an hour early, especially for the Friends, so that members could enjoy breakfast and live music.
