Hospital staff plan to have ball in La La Land
STAFF at Cheadle-based BMI The Alexandra Hospital will celebrate the service’s 35th anniversary with a La La Landthemed charity ball, in partnership with Manchester based charity, Prevent Breast Cancer.
The event, on Friday, June 16, will be held at The Midland Hotel in Manchester and will raise funds for research into the prediction and prevention of breast cancer.
With a dress code of ‘Hollywood glamour,’ guests are expected from all over the north west with local celebrities attending to show their support and all money raised given to Prevent Breast Cancer.
A three-course dinner will be served alongside live entertainment, bringing La La Land to life with live performances of audience requests.
Pam Glass, trustee of Prevent Breast Cancer, said: “It’s incredible that, to mark its 35-year anniversary, BMI The Alexandra Hospital has chosen to raise money for Prevent Breast Cancer.
“This will be a fabulous event for a vital cause, so join us for the most glamorous night of the year.”
The hospital’s executive director, Simon Shepherd, added: “The hospital has been delivering the highest standards of care to patients for 35 years and this event is the perfect way to celebrate.
“Despite the fact that we have the best equipped private hospital outside London, we are in the middle of an £8 million investment program to ensure that we continue to offer exceptional facilities.
“However, it is the people that make the hospital so special – the patients that are at the heart of everything we do, the exceptional clinicians and the clinical teams that run the hospital.”
