Clock is ticking as the awards deadline looms

THERE’S just over a week left to get your entry in for the 6th annual Stockport Business Awards. The awards, held on October 12, celebrate business success in the borough and are now establishe­d as one of the best nights in the Stockport Business calendar.

Andrew Baggott, of organisers Clarke Nicklin, commented: “Last year we were celebratin­g our fifth awards ceremony.

“It was a fantastic evening that yet again recognised the incredibly successful businesses we have in the area.

“The event celebrates all that is great about business in Stockport and I would encourage anybody to look at the categories on the website and submit an entry. It’s free, easy and there’s really nothing to lose by entering but lots to gain!” THE full list of categories are: ●BUSINESS of the Year (over £5m) ●BUSINESS of the Year (£1 to 5m) ●BUSINESS of the Year (up to £1m) ●MOST Promising Young Business ●BUSINESS Person of the Year ●EMPLOYER of the Year ●INTERNATIO­NAL Business of the Year ●THE Innovation Award ●BEST Creative Agency ●BEST Food & Drink Retailer ●BEST Not-for-Profit Organisati­on ●EXCELLENCE in CSR

Two of the categories are new for 2017. The winner of the Best Food & Drink Retailer category will need to show how they have built a sustainabl­e, profitable bar, restaurant or retail food business. Creatives will battle it out to come out on top as the Best Agency in the competitiv­e creative/digital field.

Stockport Business Awards are organised by businesses for businesses. The organisers and main sponsors are Clarke Nicklin Chartered Accountant­s and headline sponsors are Gorvins Solicitors and Orbit Developmen­ts.
