CHADS Theatre Company are pleased to announce that they will be hosting the annual Greater Manchester Drama Federation (GMDF) One Act Play Festival for 2017. Now in its 57th year, this is the leading North West one-act play festival.

A whole wealth of talent will be on display from companies participat­ing in this wonderful event including Hyde Little Theatre, Nantwich Players, Fly On The Wall Theatre Company, Players Theatre and Youth Theatre, Edgefold Players, Altrincham Creative Theatre School, Woodford Players, Manchester Theatre Academy, Car Boot Theatre Company, Summerseat Players, Heald Green Theatre and Chads Theatre Company.

There will be a wide mix of work, ranging from new writing to work by establishe­d playwright­s, performed by junior, youth and Adult groups all adjudicate­d by Martin P. Roche.

This year’s festival runs from Monday, June 5, to Saturday, June, 2017 including a matinee on the Saturday. Evening performanc­es start at 7.30pm and the matinee at 2.30pm.

With the exception of the Saturday evening, each session (including the Saturday matinee) comprises three one-act plays for you to enjoy.

On Saturday evening, Chads Theatre Company will perform their entry, ‘Consequenc­es’ by Duncan Battman, after which various awards will be presented.
