I COULDN’T help chuckling when I read the letter in the Express of May 17 which stated ‘Hazel Grove is his (William Wragg’s) constituency.’

Well it is at the moment, that cannot be denied! But as a former Marple resident for 25 years, I well recall the many years in which Liberals and Liberal Democrats ruled the roost there, under both the leadership of Michael Winstanley and later Andrew Stunnell.

How arrogant of a Tory sympathiser to assume that a General Election is not about changing MPs.

It is an inevitable consequence of such a poll that MPs WILL change, no matter what the reason was for the process to be set in motion in the first place.
