Also, a couple of reminders. Des Greene, our first runner to sign up as a ‘Guardian Account Hero’ is now ‘up and running’ with his campaign to raise money for the Cooperative’s Guardian Account in the Hatters Half Marathon on 3 September.

The race runs from outside Edgeley Park, and you can join Race Director John Giles’ team and help him turn out another organisational classic by contacting johngiles20@ hotmail.com.

And finally, the board of the Supporters Cooperative were due to meer with the Stockport County Board to discuss issues of importance this week.

We will be submitting questions to the Club Board on behalf of our members, and I hope to be in a position to report on the meeting to you via this column next week.
