Matt carves his way to the top

STAFF Toby Carvery Heaton Chapel are celebratin­g after a member of the team was crowned 2017 Carver of the Year, in Toby Carvery’s annual at Toby’s Got Talent competitio­n.

Matthew Crank beat tough competitio­n from team members in 167 Toby Carvery’s across the country.

He competed against 24 other finalists at the last heat hosted at M&B’s head office in Birmingham, tackling a range of tasks and challenges, including a carve-off, quick-fire selling round and a Who’s Who quiz.

Following a challengin­g final and strong competitio­n, Matthew Crank from Toby Carvery Heaton Chapel was crowned Toby Carvery’s 2017 Carver of the Year and received £1,000.

“The competitio­n was tough, but I’m so pleased I entered and made sure I challenged and pushed myself in every single round.
