POLICE want to speak to these three men after a victim was battered at a Stockport train station – and warned not to speak to police.

The CCTV images have been released by British Transport Police as part of an investigation into the incident, which took place at Davenport station earlier this year.

The victim, a 20-yearold man, was followed to the station where he was attacked and robbed by a gang of thugs in what police described as an ‘unprovoked assault’.

He was jumped on from behind and held in a headlock which caused him to fall to the ground, injuring his hand.

His mobile phone and wallet were taken – and he was warned not to call the police.

The attack happened on Monday, April 24 at around 9.45pm. Police have now issued CCTV stills of three men they want to trace.

Detective Constable Mike Gore, who is investigating the incident, said: “This was a completely random and opportunist attack on someone who was just going about his own business.

“The men attacked their victim and left him lying on the ground.

“It is vital we find those responsible for this unprovoked assault.

“I would urge anyone who recognises the men in the images to get in touch with us immediately as we believe they can help us with our enquiries.”
