Stars shone at variety show
OUR Shining Starts of Stockport variety show took place at the Plaza last week and it was brilliant to have filled the theatre and be part of showcasing local talent in Stockport, thanks to everyone who starred in the show or came along to watch.
The Wellspring has a number of fundraising events coming up.
On Friday, July 14, The Wellspring will be holding its first sleep out event, where we will be giving people an insight to both services at The Wellspring and the reality of rough sleeping in Stockport.

Wellspring staff have now started doing regular street outreach, visiting people who are sleeping rough and offering them support and services.
This is already proving to be successful and is engaging people in support.
The outreach sessions are part of the aims in our business plan.
Other aims in the plan involve restructuring our volunteering opportunities. Volunteers are very much the lifeblood of the project, without volunteers working at The Wellspring, a service.
We are currently recruiting volunteers to work on our reception desk in a meet and greet role, offering people a warm welcome and making sure the project runs smoothly.
Volunteering at The Wellspring is very flexible with some volunteers working once a month, others twice a week.
It’s up to you how frequent you decide to volunteer.
