Opening of club’s new museum
The Cooperative’s AGM this year is again in November (precise date to be announced), and along with elections there will be important decisions to be made , as outlined in this column last week, on the focus regarding the Guardian Account.
We are proud of our democratic credentials, and look forward to engaging with our members again at the AGM.
Drifting briefly back to my earlier general remarks on democracy, it is not uncommon for governments and political party’s to seek support or allies from other organisations.
In this respect the Supporters Cooperative , upon its formation, had an obvious and natural ally in the excellent fans group Help the Hatters, and we are massively proud of our association since with this brilliant set of Stockport County supporters.
Help the Hatters are massive workers on behalf of the club, day in day out, during the season or in the close season.
There is much to admire in the ‘ doers not talkers’ approach of Help the Hatters , which gels perfectly with the Supporters Cooperative take on safeguarding County supporters interests.
We congratulate Help the Hatters in their splendid work that has culminated in the upcoming opening of the long awaited ‘County Museum’ at Edgeley Park, which will serve the club well, attracting future County fans to Edgeley Park via visits from local schools.
With the Supporters Cooperative and Help the Hatters on hand to help , the Club’s future is secure.
