Seven miles out

-

IT’S our favourite time of the month when Foodie Friday takes over Stockport Market Place and the area is buzzing with people. June Foodie Friday is set to be our biggest event ever with 21 of the best street food traders from all over the North West and some great new offers including vegan mexican and vegan cakes.

There’s definitely something for everyone to enjoy.

Hope you can join us in Seven Miles Out from 6pm this Friday when as always we will have some great live music to keep you entertained as you tuck into your delicious grub.

The evening kicks off with local musicians Paul Howard and Andy Fisher aka How Fishy (geddit?) playing some classic covers.

At 7pm we are delighted to welcome back local teenage band 11 Hours who played their first ever gig at Seven Miles Out in May and went down a storm.

Throughout the evening we have sets from some wonderful young female musicians who will bowl you over with their talent.

Fourteen-year-old Lucy Bower and Izzy Preece have a maturity far beyond their years and have been gigging around Stockport treating audiences to their wonderful vocal harmonies and professional musicianship. Jenem, pictured, is a singersongwriter who has played at our events many times and she always creates a buzz with her energy and positivity so make sure you catch her set around 9.30pm.

Seven Miles Out is a great place to relax during Foodie Friday and of course we have a selection of wonderful beverages available from our kitsch bar and sweet treats to satisfy all those sugar rushes.

On Tuesday, July 4, as well as being American Independence Day, we are hosting Art, Beer and Music in Seven Miles Out. This bi-annual social event is organised by photographer Lee Harrison who encourages all local artists and art fans in general to gather together to share and enjoy each other’s work.

We’d like to invite anyone who is interested in art and if you are an artist yourself, you are encouraged to bring along your artwork on a memory stick so it can be displayed on our TV screen.

During the evening we will have live ambient music from young musicians Sean Rogan and George Grundy aka Tryon, there will be an art-related quiz and the special guests are Denis and Marianne from Painters Tubes Magazine.

We have a wide range of bottled beer in the chiller as well as cider, wine and spirits so why not join us for a great social evening in the company of our creative and talented local artists. »»For more information on our up and coming events please visit www.seven milesoutarts.co.uk
