It’s time to nominate your heroes

NOMINATIONS are wanted to show the best of the borough at Stockport’s Community Hero Awards.

The event, to be held later this year, will highlight individuals and groups who are helping to promote Stockport and make it a better place.

Entrants are sought in 10 categories; promoting Stockport, recognising innovations, contributing to a thriving economy, education providers, young people, sport and exercise, volunteering, resilient communities, community creatives and borough heroes.

Any nominator who feels their entrant does not fit into any of the categories can leave the category section form blank.

Council leader Alex Ganotis said: “There are so many individuals who invest their time and effort to improve communities.”
