Tattoo balm is the winner at skincare awards event

-

A FAMILY-RUN firm has won an award for its tattoo aftercare balm made from natural ingredients.

Mrs Frisbee’s All Naturals, based on Lawton Road, Stockport, won gold in the problem skin category at the sixth annual FreeFrom Skincare Awards for its tattoo aftercare balm.

The category celebrates the best products for skin conditions including eczema, psoriasis and acne – all of which are ‘free from’ some of the ingredients which many consumers want to avoid, such as fragrances, artificial additives, preservatives, food allergens and animal ingredients.

Alex Gazzola, awards co-ordinator, said: “We had a great selection of entries in the problem skin category but the Mrs Frisbee’s tattoo balm clearly won out with its excellent blend of natural ingredients and the impressive results it gave our tattooed testers.”

The announcement followed a long judging process which included a month-long assessment by testers and concluded with week-long expert judging sessions.

Julie Frisbee, who runs the company, said “I’m thrilled and proud to have won this award, especially as other entrants included some high profile international brands.

“We are a small family business and formulate and hand make our own brand skincare products using only the best quality natural ingredients.”
