Can you join board to help at hospice?

-

A LOCAL charity is looking for a qualified accountant for its board of directors.

St Ann’s Hospice, which cares for thousands of people with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses every year from its three sites in Little Hulton, Heald Green and Wythenshaw, is looking to expand its board of directors.

Christine Gibbons, chairman of St Ann’s, said: “Our board is made up of volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds, all extremely experienced in their fields and all able to bring different skills and knowledge to the table.

“It’s an extremely exciting time of change and growth at the hospice and we’re hoping this latest addition to the team will offer strategic guidance.”

St Ann’s is a registered charity which receives around a third of its funding from the NHS, with the rest – equating to around £16,000 every day – fundraised thanks to the generosity of local people.

Any accountants interested in joining the St Ann’s board should hold a CCAB qualification and have experience working at a senior level. They should also have specific experience of strategic financial management and budget setting in a large organisation. See www.sah. org.uk/jobs or email hr@ sah.org.uk.
