Homes team up for awards

STOCKPORT Homes has been double-shortlisted in the Association for Public Service Excellence Awards.

The housing association is in the running for the Best Service Team and Best Health and Wellbeing Initiative titles.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony at The King’s Centre in Oxford on Thursday, September 7.

The awards recognise the best in local government frontline services and this year they have attracted more than 310 submissions, with over 100 organisations taking part from across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

Robin Burman, chairman of Stockport Homes’ board, said, “We are proud to have been shortlisted in these two categories for the awards against strong competition.

“We pride ourselves on the provision of excellent services and our innovative approach and it is fantastic to receive recognition for both.”
