Salon in hunt for town’s ‘worst groomed’ man

-

DO you know a man in need of a good spruce up? If so, today could be his lucky day.

A salon in Stockport is holding a competition to find the borough’s ‘worst groomed man’ – and the winner will be treated to a makeover worth £3,000.

Supercuts, in Merseyway Shopping Centre, is holding the competition to mark national Men’s Grooming Day on August 19 – and is asking people to nominate men with some ‘groom for improvement.’

It has teamed up with hair products company GHD, and the winner and their nominee will be whisked off to London for a day of pampering at the GHD studio.

They’ll also receive a goody bag, overnight stay in the capital, and £500 cash to splash on clothes to match their new look.

Keren Cumpsty, regional business manager at Supercuts Stockport, said: “We know a tidy appearance is a top priority for many modern men, but there are still blokes out there in need of a beard tame and hair trim.

“If your man doesn’t know his blow-drys from him his manicures and his eyebrows have seen better days – we want to hear from you.”

Stockport locals can nominate their loved one for the Groom for Improvement competition by visiting supercuts.co.uk/groomforimprovement before Wednesday, September 13 and explaining in 100 words or less why he’s in need of some TLC.
