Go on the run to help homeless

THE Hatters Half Marathon takes place on Sunday, September 3 and The Wellspring has free places in the event to give away to people, in return for fundraising for The Wellspring.

The event is run and organised by the Stockport County Fans Co-operative.

It is a fantastic local event that hundreds of people take part in.

If you would like a free place and to run for The Wellspring, please email your full name, address and date of birth to the wellspring@btconnect. com.

Voting is now underway in the Vernon Jubilee fund and The Wellspring is one of the good causes that members of the public can vote for to receive a share of £10,000.

Please consider using your tokens in this paper to vote for The Wellspring.

The funds raised from the Jubilee fund will be spent by The Wellspring on providing a direct street outreach service on to the streets of Stockport engaging with anyone who is street homeless or begging in the town.

We aim to provide support to anyone who is in this situation in Stockport.

If you are aware of the location of anyone sleeping rough or begging in Stockport please let The Wellspring know so our outreach team can go out and see if we can offer any support.

The Wellspring is currently supporting 60 people who are on the street homeless in Stockport and a further 84 who are sofa surfing.

We are also supporting hundreds of other local people who are currently one step away from becoming homeless.
