Issues affecting County supporters
The Cooperative asked about any future plans to progress to full time status.
The Club explained that Jim ultimately drives this decision as he is the one who knows what he would need and how much it would cost, thus Jim Gannon and Gary Burton are liaising regularly on the subject.
Going full time isn’t as straightforward as flicking a switch.
Some players don’t want to go full time, thus any move to full time has to be done at the right time and in the right way.
So Jim is the driver, but ultimately the club board make the final decision which – with an eye to retaining players not wishing to commit to full time status – initially will very likely involve a `hybrid’ set up using a ombination of both full and part timers for a time.
The Cooperative congratulated the club on the improved debt situation and profit achieved for the year.
Replying to further questions on this matter, the Club confirmed that a further tranche of debt to equity conversions were pending, thus the balance sheet situation would be improved again.
The Cooperative asked about progress regarding this issue.
The Club indicated that progress was slow but they were confident progress could be made. There is a meeting due with SMBC in the next few weeks to discuss.
