Supporters Cooperative hope to welcome fresh impetus on board at the AGM

- COUNTY SUPPORTERS COOPERATIVE COLUMN IAN BROWN

THE Supporters Cooperative had a members meeting planned to continue the consultation process regarding the ultimate focus as far as the Guardian Account is concerned. Regrettably this meeting, scheduled for Thursday 14 September at the Bungalow, has had to be cancelled, but arrangements are in hand to re-schedule , and we will advise as soon as possible as to the new date.

Meanwhile a meeting that most certainly will go ahead as scheduled, will be the Supporters Cooperative AGM set for Thursday 9 November 2017 at the Bungalow Club on Hardcastle Road.

As usual there will be board vacancies to fill, and we invite members to consider putting themselves forward for election to the board, who will welcome the input, help and ideas, provided by fresh faces, as we attempt to best represent the interests of County Supporters.

The AGM is a pivotal element in our year, and central to our belief in the democratic process.

In this respect, it is by no means unusual to encounter uncontested elections at AGM time, and whilst this is understandable to some extent, when other strands in life’s rich tapestry beckon louder than the call to a debate at the Bung, it is not a healthy situation.

The current board of the Supporters Cooperative have been busy and still have much they wish to do. To put ideas and plans into action requires energy and wit - something you dear reader I am guessing have in quantity.
