Gannon finally captures Bohan

-

COUNTY moved to bolster the ranks at Edgeley Park, with the addition of strong midfielder Bohan Dixon on a one-year deal on Monday.

Dixon, 27, was a mainstay in AFC Fylde’s National League North title winning side last season, impressing against The Hatters in both fixtures during the 2016/17 campaign.

The gangly midfielder was subject to interest by Gannon – who worked with Dixon previously at Northwich Victoria in 2014 – over the summer, but the former Stalybridge man opted for FC Halifax Town in the National League.

Dixon scored six goals last season as The Coasters romped to the title, and Gannon admitted that the chance to work with his former number 10 once more was too good to pass on.

“I have worked with Bohan before and he will be a tremendous addition to the squad,” said Gannon.

“He’s been involved in two title-winning sides recently and brings great versatility to the attacking midfield areas, with the ability to play in a diamond or anywhere across the front three.”

“I tried to sign him before, when he was leaving Stalybridge 18 months ago, so I’m delighted to be able to bring him to Edgeley Park.”
