THE Totally Stockport team are focussed on supporting current projects and bringing even more events with greater choice to the town centre that will attract more people, more often.

One event that has become a firm favourite and has successfully attracted new faces is Foodie Friday.

Held on the last Friday of every month in the Old Town’s Market Place, people of all ages can enjoy an eclectic evening filled with fun, fabulous street food, musical maestros, family entertainment and lively bars.

Events cost money to set-up and run; Totally Stockport are delighted to have been able to take responsibility for monies required to fund the security staff and for St John’s Ambulance to be on hand, just in case.

We are also bringing a second new event to Stockport – a Totally BIG Day Out!

On Saturday, September 30, Stockport will be transformed into a land ‘Blooming with Veggies’. Tyrannosaurus Rex will stride out with Dinosaurs; famous brands will step along the Merseyway catwalk and a vinyl fair will take you on a stroll down a musical memory lane; meander over to the Maker’s Market in the Old Town – and it’s all free.

Mr Bloom and his Veggies will be at Stockport Plaza on Saturday morning, doors open at 9 and the show starts at 9.30 – you will need to arrive early to be sure of a seat. Next on stage will be the True Colours Trolls Show.

Young eyes will be on stalks as high as the walkers over in St Peter’s Square when the Dino Park opens and T Rex starts the walkabout among the cavemen.

We are really pleased to be bringing the Maker’s Market to Stockport. Wander over to the historical Market Place, where you will be spoilt for choice.

Feast your eyes over a selection of unique creatives, creators, makers, designers, producers, bakers, musician and artists.

Merseyway will be hosting a series of five fashion shows every hour, starting at 11.15am.

Take in the season’s latest fashions and there’s no need to wait - all the fashions are available from the stores in Merseyway.

While you are in Stockport, pop into the Tourist Information Office at Staircase House and pick up a copy of the latest Totally Stockport magazine. To find out more about what’s on in Stockport visit totallystockport.co.uk.
