AWHOLE cast of char­ac­ters were out in force for this year’s CheshireFest.

The an­nual two-day bo­nanza of food, mu­sic and en­ter­tain­ment took place over a week­end at Manch­ester Rugby Club in Chea­dle Hulme.

Or­gan­is­ers Philip Os­borne and Ben Har­ris lined up a va­ri­ety of emerg­ing artists and trib­ute acts for the main stage – in­clud­ing Take That trib­ute Want U Back, Dan East as Ed Sheeran and Be-Bey­once, as well as lo­cal mu­si­cians Leon Maya and The Sound.

On the Sun­day the theme was #Fes­ti­valAn­thems, fea­tur­ing he Antarc­tic Mon­keys, Mad­ch­ester favourites Oashish and The Ab­so­lute Stone Roses and Cold­play trib­ute act Yel­low.

Chil­dren were kept en­ter­tained by a host of pop­u­lar char­ac­ters, in­clud­ing the Storm troop­ers and Boba Fett from Star Wars, Beauty and the Beast and Olaf from Frozen.

And there was also plenty for the grown-ups with a beer tent of­fer­ing over 30 cask ales, beers and ciders, a Prosecco and Cham­pagne bar, a gin gar­den, cock­tail bar and Pimms bus, plus an in­ter­na­tional street food vil­lage.
